ABOUT US

Founded by certified Pilates instructor and movement specialist Gerise Stripling Reaves, the studio combines the disciplines of Pilates, dance, and fitness to create customized programs tailored to each individual’s goals and abilities. Whether clients are seeking improved posture, increased flexibility, core strength, rehabilitation support, or enhanced athletic performance, every session is designed with care, expertise, and attention to proper movement mechanics.

With over three decades of professional experience in movement education and performance, our approach emphasizes mindful training, body awareness, and long-term wellness rather than one-size-fits-all fitness methods. We are committed to creating an encouraging and supportive environment where clients can build strength, improve mobility, and feel empowered through movement.

Gerise Stripling Reaves

Certified Pilates Instructor | Owner

Gerise Stripling Reaves is a highly experienced Pilates instructor, movement educator, and former professional dancer with more than 30 years of experience in dance, fitness, and specialized movement training.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Dance from the University of California, Irvine, where she trained under renowned choreographer Donald McKayle. Her professional dance career includes performances both nationally and internationally with distinguished companies including Silayan Dance Company, Notario Dance Company, and Dallas Black Dance Theatre.

Gerise received her Pilates certification through the Physical Mind Institute in 1996 after training under master instructors Rael Isacowitz and Marie-Jose Blom Lawrence. She later pursued advanced Pilates certifications through Orange Coast College and with Carolyne Anthony.

Gerise specializes in developing individualized training programs that thoughtfully integrate Pilates, dance, and functional fitness principles. Her background in both movement performance and psychology allows her to approach instruction with a deep understanding of body awareness, motivation, and personal growth. She is passionate about helping clients improve strength, flexibility, posture, coordination, and overall quality of movement in a supportive and encouraging environment.
